    The font files kcchin16.f00 and kctext16.f00 were part of the Kuo
    Chiao Chinese System (國喬彩色漢碟中文) v6.22 (for DOS), which was
    generously donated to the Taiwan Academic Network (TANet) in the
    early 1990s.  To the best of my knowledge, these fonts have since
    been widely distributed all over the world and are now in the
    public domain.  If you have heard otherwise from a reliable source
    (e.g. the original authors), Please let me know.

Sadly, Kuo Chiao Information Co., Ltd. seems to have disappeared since
then.  Nonetheless, we certainly owe them a big gratitude for their
courageous contribution to Chinese computing.
